Geometric combinatorics deals with the study of geometric objects through their combinatorial structure. Some geometric objects that are of interest are known as polytopes. H.S.M. Coxeter wrote that “a polytope is a geometrical figure bounded by portions of lines, planes, or hyperplanes; e.g., in two dimensions it is a polygon, in three a polyhedron”.
