MRI: Track 1 Acquisition of a Multi-Material Vat Photopolymerization 3D Printer for Interdisciplinary Applications Including Energy Storage, Electronics, and Biomedical

US NSF grant open #nsf-2511215

Summary

This Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) grant provides funding for the University of Texas at El Paso to acquire a unique multi-material high-resolution 3D printer capable of fabricating complex composite structures from polymers, ceramics, and metals. This advanced 3D printer is the first of its kind in the region and only the third in North America. This advanced equipment will allow researchers and students to create complex structures that combine multiple materials, enabling innovative projects such as next-generation batteries and fuel cells, engineered protective materials for safety
