CAREER: Singularity Formation in Dynamical Black Holes

US NSF grant open #nsf-2541031

Summary

Black holes are among the most striking predictions of Einstein’s theory of gravity, yet their interior region remains one of the greatest mysteries in mathematical physics. This project investigates the mathematics governing these regions of spacetime characterized by extreme gravity. By developing new mathematical frameworks to analyze the interior of black holes, this research serves the national interest and the National Science Foundation's mission to advance our fundamental understanding of the universe. Furthermore, the project yields broad societal benefits by heavily investing in STEM
